• Is counselling confidential?

Yes. All counselling sessions are strictly confidential. I comply with UK GDPR data protection laws and am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). I also attend regular private supervision to ensure your safety and privacy.

During telephone and online sessions, a confidential space for you is required.

  • How do I get started?

I offer a free initial conversation of up to 30 minutes, either online or by telephone. If you decide to start counselling with me, I will send you a preliminary booking email and invoice with a secure pay link. Once payment has been received your booking has been secured. Sessions cost £45 each, with discounts available for booking multiple sessions at once. You’ll receive email and/or text confirmation and reminders for your sessions, as well as links for online video sessions—no downloads needed. For telephone sessions, I’ll call you from the same mobile number every time. Directions and parking details will be provided for face-to-face sessions.

You are required to adhere to my policies, terms and conditions, and to sign a contract in or before our first session. In booking my services you are accepting these terms and conditions, which are available to view on the policies page of this website.

  • What is person-centred counselling?

Person-centred counselling is a supportive talking therapy, a client-led approach where you set the pace and focus of each session. It helps you explore your feelings and experiences in a non-judgmental environment, empowering you to find your own solutions.

Everyone faces challenges—whether those are mental health issues, life events, work stress, or relationship difficulties. You are the expert on yourself, even when it does not feel like it. My role is to listen and reflect your experiences, offering support and clarity without judgement.

  • Are you qualified?

Yes, I am a fully qualified adult counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and DBS checked. I attend regular supervision and ongoing training.

I also have qualifications and over 15 years’ experience working with children and young people in educational and creative settings, along with Level 3 safeguarding training. I sometimes collaborate with children’s agencies, charities and schools.

  • What if I need to cancel a session?

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Payments will be carried forward to your next session. If I need to cancel your session with less than 48 hours notice you will receive a full refund or prepayment will be carried forward to your next session.

  • What is creative counselling?

Creative counselling uses art and other expressive methods to help you communicate emotions you may find hard to put into words. It’s a gentle way to explore your inner world and reduce stress, alongside traditional talking therapy.

If you have any questions we can discuss these during our initial conversation.
